Maurice Tosh Gayflor, professionally known as CIC, is Liberia’s leading Afrobeat/Afropop artist and cultural icon who’s transforming the African music landscape with powerful storytelling, cross-continental collaborations, and cultural authenticity.

Born in Brewerville, Liberia, CIC launched his music career in 2015 and quickly rose to national fame with hit singles like “Shoutout”, “John Buttay,” and “Hello”, solidifying himself as Liberia’s most consistent and influential modern artist. He’s known for blending Afrobeat, Afropop, and native Liberian sounds into a global-ready style that resonates across generations. He has built a vibrant career defined by hit records, international tours, multiple awards and other major milestones.

His debut album, “1994 The Throne,” released in 2019, featured an international cast including Medikal, Aramide, MzVee, lyanya, and Buffalo Soulja, and peaked at #2 on the iTunes World Chart. CIC holds the record as the Liberian artist with the highest number of awards.

In 2018, CIC became the first Liberian-based artist to sell out a show in Melbourne, Australia, placing him alongsideAfrican heavyweights like Flavour and Bracket. He has since performed on major stages in Ghana, the U.S., and Europe, appearing alongside Sarkodie, Iyanya, Mr. P, Kizz Daniel, Tekno, and more.
